v0.9.1
A small follow-up to 0.9.0. Mainly fixes for startup issues, along with a batch of smaller fixes, a Stagger panel, and a few additions to the node graph.
Fixed
- Fixed startup issues.
- Saving over a file Lumit was using kept showing the old picture and sound, even after a restart. The new version now shows as soon as you come back to Lumit.
- Ctrl+X on keyframes copied them and then deleted the selected layer instead.
- Alt+] cut off the playhead’s frame. The out point now lands a frame past the playhead, as it does in After Effects.
- Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V in the project panel copied the Timeline’s selected layer instead of the picked items, and Delete did nothing there.
- Undoing in the node graph kept drawing the old graph until a box was moved.
- A wire dragged out of an empty input looped out the wrong way.
What is new
- The Stagger panel starts the selected layers one after another a set number of frames apart, top down, bottom up, in the order they were clicked, or random. Layer ▸ Stagger layers opens it.
- Holding Ctrl+Alt while dragging selected bars or keyframes staggers them instead of moving them together, like Quick Offset in After Effects.
- Wires snap to the socket they’ll join while you drag them, and anywhere on a box will do.
- An effect’s Output in a layer’s graph can be wired into the Matte of any effect below it, so a Gradient can matte a Fractal noise on the same layer.
- A new effect starts with its box open in the layer’s node graph, and open boxes have controls on their rows.
- Settings ▸ General ▸ After Effects presets imports a folder of .ffx presets into Effects & presets.
- Any project item can be duplicated, deleting a folder takes what’s inside it, and the arrow keys move the selection in the project panel.
- Wave warp has Semicircle, Uncircle, Noise, and Smooth noise, so After Effects projects using them come across too.
- Settings ▸ Account has a Name row for the name people see on your previews and replies.
